The 2020 CA-AFCS Western Region Biennial Conference has been CANCELLED due to the state and national recommendations and responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. The CA-AFCS Executive Committee met On March 13 and decided that it was our civic responsibility to take care of ourselves AND THOSE AROUND US. It is our organization’s mission to care for others! We are disappointed that we will miss the face-to-face meeting this year and thank all those who put so much effort into planning this conference.
We hope to have an online creative design exhibit for your viewing soon. This will include designs that were accepted and would have been exhibited at the conference.
Look for information about our 2021 joint conference in Burlingame with FCSTAC and FCS Education Leadership & Management.
If you have already registered for the 2020 CA-AFCS conference or made your hotel reservation, the information below will be helpful.
- Registration. If you have already sent in your registration form and check (and the check has already been cashed by CA-AFCS), our treasurer Adina Duggan will send you a full reimbursed check from CA-AFCS within the next several weeks. If your check has not been cashed by CA-AFCS, Amber Bradley will send you back your uncashed check within the next few weeks.
- Hotel. The hotel has a generous cancellation policy. As long as you cancel your reservation more than 48 hours in advance, they will not charge you any fees – but check your arrangements with them!
