“Second Century of Helping” Project
An official project of the AAFCS Centennial Celebration
From July 1, 2008 - June 1, 2009, AAFCS members are asked to track volunteer hours contributed as FCS professionals. Hours are tracked by state affiliate on the AAFCS website.
Three primary criteria for volunteer hours include:
- Hours must include an application of your FCS expertise, and
- You must identify yourself as an FCS professional while volunteering, and;
- You must not receive compensation beyond expense reimbursement.
Eligible volunteer hours cannot be for services provided to one’s immediate family.
At the 2009 AAFCS Annual Conference in Knoxville, those individuals, communities and affiliates with the greatest number of volunteer hours, and the highest per capita rate of volunteer hours, will be recognized.
