Extended Education Fund of the CA-AAFCS (EEF)
Extended Deadline for Applications: April 17, 2009
General Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be a member of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and California Affiliate including student affiliate.
- One clear copy of this completed application form.
- One official transcript of scholastic record from each collegiate institution attended (each in a sealed envelope).
- Recommendations (in sealed envelopes) from three professionals. Letter of Recommendation should address the candidates past, current, and future contributions to the field of Family and Consumer Sciences.
- Copy of AAFCS membership card or copy of canceled check for AAFCS.
- All materials listed above should be placed in one envelope and sent to the address at the end of this application.
- Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Scholarships:
- AAFCS-CA Affiliate Scholarship
- $1,000
- Two scholarships will be awarded
- Available to both undergraduate and graduate students
- Annie McDonald Lindsay Graduate Scholarship
- $2,000
- Available to graduate students in nutrition, nutrition education, and allied fields
- Hazel M. Kuehn Graduate Scholarship
- $1,000
- Available to graduate students
- Theodora Corey Undergraduate Scholarship
- $1,000
- Two scholarships will be awarded
- Available to full-time registered college sophomores and juniors with plans for a degree in Family & Consumer Sciences
- Whittier Home Economics Chapter Scholarship
- $1,000
- Available to students going into Home Economics Education
